Hi.
I have Windows 7 originally installed on an old HDD and recently purchased an SSD. How do I go about installing windows 7 into the SSD and deleting it from the old HDD? Is a reformat of the HDD the only way?
So, here's the story. One day, while I was browsing the internet, I noticed that my touchpad (yes, I'm using a laptop) won't work. I tried reinstalling the driver for the said hardware but it won't work. The pointer moves when I move my finger on the touchpad but it won't respond when I tap the...
So, I shutdown my computer this morning and it was installing 96 updates, so I left it and went to school.
I came back after 6-7 hours and it was stuck on 68/96 updates installing, I left it for another 30 min and it was still on 68/96. I decided to press the reset button, even though it said...
I'm tasked with fixing this laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Build 7600 because of issues with it 'crashing'.
Found it to be freezing randomly.
I would log in, do nothing and let the system sit there and it would freeze eventually, I would be able to move the cursor but I could not...

I recently reformatted my HP and though I figured out once before how to get rid of HP QuickWeb at start-up and permanently hide the dock, it seems I have gone senile; just can't figure it out. Maybe because a couple other weird glitches occurred...
Hey there! I'm newly registered to this site, but I've visited it in the past and it's helped me many times with my various technical problems on my desktop. I've got another one I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm kinda stumped since I only have a basic understanding of computers.
So...
I keep getting random bsods periodically. The first one happened a couple of weeks ago after a virus or shall I say multiple viruses cropped up, and I had to reformat after it happened; my computer wouldn't start as every time I tried to start windows it would automatically restart when the...

I've been using Win 7 64-bit since the beta and no issues at all - until I installed SP1. Now I get constant lockups and it seems to be related to the video driver about 50% of the time. I've done a clean install of the latest driver, tried removing SP1, done a system restore to before SP1...

Hello,
I've been having some frequent BSODs for the past couple of months. They usually happen when I play games but I've had them happen at other times too. A few things I've done:
Reformatted and disabled fast user switching as someone once suggested to me.
I tried about 3 other video cards...

So I recently reformatted one of my (oldish) HP laptops with Windows 7, and the hard drive is not happy with the driver that it's using.
Once the system loads up, the hard-drive keeps lagging to read. It would read for a second, then stop for a second, read, stop, read stop. It's not the...
