Tested Win7 beta here at work and it was actually rather smooth. Then came RC1 and it hasn't been quite as smooth. Some issues with RC1:
PC used for testing: Dell E4300 laptop, 4GB memory.
Beta loaded fine and all the Vista drivers from Dell worked in Win7 Beta without issue.
RC1 loaded...
Just installed RC1. Was running Vista and when I started install Win 7 never told me about the video drive not being compatible.
Did not attempt to export the Vista driver.
Can someone point me to the driver so I don't have to wipe drive and return to Vista and start again?
Thanks,
pixed
So i've been running Windows 7 pretty fine for the past month. However, I just did an easy transfer from my old laptop (running XP) to my new system, but I'm not sure if this is the cause of my problems. My computer starts up fine, I get to the Windows 7 login screen and enter my password. What...

Using asus P5QL -CM Mobo with 8GB RAM and Intel Quad Q9400 2.66 GHZ.
Using built in video driver (Intel G45 / G43...

I just installed Windows 7 on a new partition on my home desktop.
I now get MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA BSODs right after logging in to Windows 7. When I get the BSODs, there is no filename associated with the error, just the above general errors.
I can reproduce the...
I have been running both versions of Windows 7 32 and 64bit without a problem on my computer. So today I install 4 more gigs of memory for a total of 8 and the desktop started in 800x600 and said that my ATI driver was not working. I had the ATI beta drivers from ATI installed. I tried all of...
