With new chips from Intel and AMD supporting 64-bit extensions, would it make more sense to install the 64-bit version of Windows Vista? Why aren't more people using 64-bit Windows XP? What are the pros and cons?

There is some software that's not supported in 64-bit, but hopefully this problem will go away. Webroot Spy Sweeper comes to mind. (A great program, just not compatible with 64-bit)

Pros: ?
Cons: poor driver support, most applications run slower in 64-bit than 32.
