Solution
It sounds like you're encountering a privilege issue when trying to create an ad hoc connection and share the internet connection on your system. This problem can occur due to permission settings on your computer. To resolve this, you can try the following steps:

Solution Steps:

  1. Run as Administrator:
    • Make sure you are logged in to an administrator account on your computer.
    • Right-click on the command or application that you are using to create the ad hoc connection and choose "Run as administrator."

]Check User Account Control (UAC) Settings:
    • Adjust the User Account Control settings to a lower level temporarily and see if that resolves the issue.
      • Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings.
      • Move the slider to a lower setting and restart your computer.
    []Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings:
    • Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software to check if they are blocking the sharing process.
    [
    ]Check Group Policy Settings:
    • Ensure that there are no group policies restricting network sharing.
      • Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
      • Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Network Connections, and check if there are any policies set that might be blocking network sharing.
    []Reset Network Settings:
    • Use the Network Reset feature in Windows to reset all network settings to default.
      • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
    [
    ]Check Registry Settings:
    • Verify that the necessary registry settings for network sharing are configured correctly.
      • Be cautious when editing the registry, as incorrect changes can cause system issues.
  2. Update Network Drivers:
    • Ensure that your network drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause connectivity issues.

      Additional Tips:

      • Ensure that you are following the correct steps to create the ad hoc network and share the internet connection.
      • Double-check that your user account has administrative privileges.
If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, provide more details about your system setup or any specific error messages you encounter for further assistance.
