  2. Check for Overheating: Ensure that your system is not overheating. Check the CPU and GPU temperatures, as overheating can lead to crashes and BSODs.
  3. Memory Check: Run a memory diagnostic tool to check for any issues with your RAM modules.
  4. Check for Malware: Scan your system for malware and viruses as they can sometimes cause these types of crashes.
  5. Compatibility Mode: Try running the game in compatibility mode. Right-click on the game executable, go to Properties, then Compatibility, and try running it in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows.
  6. Check Event Viewer: Look into the Windows Event Viewer for more detailed error logs that might provide additional information on what's causing the crashes.
  7. BSOD Error 124: This particular BSOD error can sometimes be related to hardware issues, such as overheating, power supply problems, or problems with hardware components. Ensuring proper ventilation and checking hardware components can be beneficial. Try these steps to see if they help resolve the crashes you're experiencing while trying to play DiRT 2. If the issue persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
