Windows 7 BAD_CALLER_POOL (My DMP file) can anyone read it and help me???

I keep getting bluescreens and reads the 'Bad_caller_pool' error.

I have done the following checks:

1. SFC Check - 'clear'

2. Tried a registry clean but not sure if the software was legit as it kept finding files but everytime I deleted them, and re-scanned, they were back....

3. Windows Memory Diagnostic - 'Clear'

4. Chkdsk' through command prompt which again was - 'clear'

so this is my next step, to post my dmp file and see what you people think....

The last time I got a blue screen like you show was in Vista when I was running a modem it did not like. Perhaps the drivers Trouble mentions will correct the problem. If there are no new drivers for a device, it may not be compatible with Windows 7. I would check your dump file to confirm, but do not have .rar capability.

Thankyou for both of your responces....

'Trouble' - I will have a look at your instructions in a few hours time after I have gone to sleep and woken up lol, but many thanks and thanks for the welcome...

'Saltgrass', I will upload the zip version of the file if that makes any difference? just so I can get a general overview on my problem.

Just before I head to bed, and just incase you aint on when I wake up, Can I download the second driver from the same link you gave me?

Thank You again mate!

Beermouse:
Hello and welcome to the forum
let's start with addressing these two old drivers
RTL8187Se.sys 2/25/2009
and
Rt86win7.sys 2/26/2009
Try updating from here
If BSOD continues please attach new .dmp files and please take the time to read the first post in this thread http://windows7forums.com/blue-screen-death-bsod/38837-how-ask-help-bsod-problem.html

In response you your PM.
The second RealTek driver
Rt86win7.sys 2/26/2009 (Realtek 8101E/8168/8169 NDIS 6.20 32-bit Driver) as you can see can be for either of three potential Realtek NICs, and I don't know which one you are using. YOu may be able to find it here Realtek if it's not in the list, use the navigation links just to the left of that page "Communication Network ICs" to see if you can find it. Failing that post the information here and we'll see if we can help further.
Additionally there is one other driver
igdkmd32.sys 5/6/2009 which is an Intel Display driver. You may have some luck finding the updated driver here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng either by manually searching if you know which video card you are using or perhaps by using their Driver Update Utility to scan for updates for installed devices. Up to you. I didn't mention it earlier just because it wasn't caught in your one and only .dmp file that you attached and I would like to see more than one to get a better sampling.

What information would you like for me to find for you? I'm really sorry but I am not very computer illiterate when it comes to this kind of information..

Thanks Again

Hi Beermouse and Welcome to The Forum.

Further to the excellent answers supplied by Trouble and Saltgrass. All your dumps are the same.

STOP 0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER
Usual causes:
Device driver, ?Memory.

Rt86win7.sys Thu Feb 26 09:04:22 2009 New Driver here: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller v7.046

RTL8187Se.sys Thu Feb 26 02:31:15 2009 New Driver here: Realtek 8187SE

igdkmd32.sys Wed May 06 19:13:40 2009 Run the Intel® Driver Update Utility (Works best for me in Internet Explorer). I think it is part of your chipset drivers.

Just to make life easier for you, find the first two drivers you need attached to the end of this post.

Driver Install - Manual method

  1. Download the driver and extract it to a folder.
  2. Open the Device Manager.
  3. Right click the device you wish to change the drivers for. You can select Properties > Driver > Driver Details to check you have the right device.
  4. Choose Update Driver Software.
  5. Select Browse My Computer For Driver Software.
  6. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
  7. Select Have disk...
  8. Select Browse..
  9. Navigate to the extracted folder and double click on the .inf file
  10. Hit OK, then Next and the driver(s) will then begin to install.

HTH.

Same as before Dan, It's that 8187SE Driver again. If you're unsure of what / where to change it in Device Manager then you may be better off downloading it from the Realtek site as above. The package includes an installer that will do it all for you.

Well it's all thank's to you guys really, I don't really know what the hell any of this is lol.....

I think ive updated that last driver now, but if it does it again, I will post up my dmp. again and then if it is still that driver, then could i maybe get some help on how to find/install it correctly, by sending you print screens etc?

Thanks again guys!!!

I don't want to speak too soon but I havn't had the problem in hours now so I think we may have done it.....Thank You Trouble, Saltgrass and Elmer, You were all great help and if I hadnt have come across this forum I would have probably either thrown the labtop in the bin or either taken it to a store where I would have obviously had to pay so thank you all for debugging my dmp. and not just that but for giving me tips and really helping me understand and install drivers

Daniel
