Hi guys, I have a friends vista pc that i suspect the hard drive has semi caped out on him, I can view it as an external on my mac, But when i go to create a disk image it takes 5 weeks,
When i boot it up ''I've tried it in three different pc's'' It comes up with ''diskette 0 failed continue or....''
Boot priority is correct, so when i boot window normally or in safe mode, It gets past the loading phase, and comes to a black screen and a mouse pointer, I can mover the mouse but thats all, I can't right click.
I had the pc booted up a week before when it was giving trouble ''SHOULD HAVE DISK IMAGED IT'' ARGH

Any help would be great.

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner but it does sound very much like the drive has died from what you say..
