Hey people,

I've installed an original genuine version of windows7 on a formatted disk.
It worked fine for a few hours, but when I shutted down my PC, and tried
to turn it on an hour later, it didn't work.

When I turn on my PC, the screen stays as black as it is when my PC is turned off.
I can't even get into BIOS, obviously, because my screen doesn't show ANYTHING.

I Searched the internet for solutions, but I see alot of people who have problems
with a black screen after they saw the Windows7 Logo, but I don't even get to see that anymore..

Can someone provide me with an answer? =)

P.S.: I also changed my videocard because I thought I accidently broke it, but it works in another PC.

Greetings

Solution
It seems like you're encountering a frustrating issue with your Windows 7 installation where your screen remains black even before reaching the Windows logo or BIOS screen. This can be caused by various factors, such as hardware compatibility, settings, or even a glitch during the installation. Let's troubleshoot this step by step: 1. Check Hardware Connections: - Ensure that all your hardware components are properly connected. This includes the monitor, video cables, RAM modules, and other essential components. 2. Reset BIOS: - You mentioned that you can't access the BIOS, but you can try resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery on the motherboard for a few minutes and then reinserting it. This can sometimes resolve...
This can sometimes resolve boot-related issues. 3. Boot in Safe Mode: - Try booting your computer in Safe Mode. This can help in isolating any problematic drivers or software causing the issue. To access Safe Mode, restart your computer and repeatedly press the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. 4. Check Display Settings: - If you manage to boot into Safe Mode or have access to the BIOS, check your display settings. Make sure the correct display device is selected and that the resolution is supported by your monitor. 5. Run Startup Repair: - If you have a Windows 7 installation disk, you can try running the Startup Repair tool. Boot from the installation disk and choose the repair option. 6. Update Graphics Drivers: - Although you mentioned that the video card works in another PC, updating your graphics drivers can sometimes resolve display issues. You can do this either in Safe Mode or by booting from a Windows installation disk. 7. Perform System Restore: - If you recently made any changes to your system, performing a System Restore to a point before the issue occurred might help. 8. Check for Hardware Issues: - If none of the above solutions work, there might be a hardware issue with your motherboard, CPU, or other components. Consider consulting a technician for a more detailed diagnosis. By following these steps, you should be able to narrow down the cause of the black screen issue and hopefully resolve it. If you encounter any specific error messages or behaviors during these steps, please provide those details for further assistance.
