i tested the hard drive with HDTune and Data Lifeguard Diagnostic(WD) under windows and they found no errors. the "no drive found" occurs only with the bootable editions. anyway, i will check tha cabling."No drive found" can be linked to the ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc000009d - STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED, which indicates defective or loose cabling, termination, or that the controller does not see the hard disk.
Try HDTune, at least try to start it under windows. If the same message persists, open up your case and check the cabling. If cabling doesn't help, try another HDD.
STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED, which indicates defective or loose cabling, termination, or that the controller does not see the hard disk.
1. Check the HDD, cabling
2. See what the maker says about your RAM: can it be set both ways 1333 and 1600? What are the specs and the voltage?
3. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
4. Btw, have you run chkdsk /f command?
memory specs:
- 4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory
- Dual channel memory architecture
- Support for DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules
- Support for non-ECC memory modules
no it can't be set at 1600MHz
