Windows 7 Boot into Win 2008 Server VHD from Windows 7

Is it possible to boot into a Win 2008 Server VHD from Windows 7?

I think this is an ideal scenario for developers..Can i simply use a Win 2008 Server VHD that someone else has created?

How will this work? Thanks

You can sure do this with the help of a virtual machine, I have never tried without it. But it may be possible:
