Windows 7 BSOD After Random Freezes

Hi,
I just reinstalled Windows 7 on my Toshiba Satellite A200 and it seems to freeze randomly when I open programs such as iTunes and other programs that need to load a lot of data.
Here is the error that I get whenever it freeezes:

Also, whenever the computer freezes, I can still use my mouse but nothing happens when I click on anything. I opened up Task Manager before it crashed and I noticed that the CPU usage dropped from around 30% to 0% when it froze. I don't know if this is a problem or not but I thought I should post anyway.

Here are my system specs:
Toshiba Satellite A200
Windows 7 Ultimate x86
2x 512MB DDR2 RAM Chips
1.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

1. Attach the crash files from C:\Windows\Minidump.

2. Since you mention about occasional freezes, also attach:

- snips of CPU-Z memory and CPU tabs
- Passmark Rammon HTML report.zip

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.
If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0415720, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: c0000185, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: 28172860, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: 82ae4d89, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

Arguments:
Arg1: c040fd48, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: c0000185, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: 15c5cbe0, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: 81fa9000, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

Debugging Details:

I have just started running HD Tune and I currently have 27 errors. Also, the hard drive is making funny noises, kind of like when a CD skips.
I ran Chkdsk earlier and it froze at 63%. Does this mean that I'll have to get a new hard drive?
(My computer is unusable right now so I'm using my iPod to type this)

OK, thank you...
I'll run out to the local computer store and buy myself a new one, then.
My computer just crash dumped again during the HD Tune checkup and it had about 120 errors just before it died.
And it's weird because I just bought this hard drive about 2 months ago. I'll try a different maker next time.

Thank you for all your help, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without it!

Sorry, just one more thing...
It isn't possible to fix my hard drive now, is it? I just want to make sure before I go get a new one.

It does sound like your hdd or perhaps your motherboard is dying. Feel free to consult other forums on this,

Confused on HD Tune test - [H]ard|Forum

Try:

1. Upgrade bios.
2. Format the hard drive using Active@ Kill Disk Hard Drive Eraser. Low Level Format.
3. Load bios setup defaults.
4. Install the OS.
5. The problem might be with the HDD controller, which is your motherboard device. You can try different modes - AHCI/IDE(/RAID), but if you do so each time you'll have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS. So it's easier to try another hard drive.

Sorry, how do you use the different modes? I don't really know about AHCI/IDE(/RAID)...
Also updating the BIOS and the HDD drivers but had no luck... I'm going to try Active@ now.

IDE/AHCI/RAID is in the bios. Just try another HDD.
