Thanks for your help in advance. I seriously need some experts' help on some BSOD and also game crashing issue.

The Issues:
I bought a new computer mainly to play BF3, but I keep on having error (like random crashing and BSOD issues) for like 3 months. My game crashes every day, if I am lucky, 2-3 hours with crash; if I am not, crash within 30min. I only experience crash and BSOD while playing this game (I don't do much with this computer except for playing BF3). The crashing issue is more serious (like 3 times a day) than the BSOD (like once every 3 days and more recently).

The Questions:
1. What do you recommend me to do to solve the crashing problems?
2. What do you recommend me to do to solve the BSOD problems?
3. In the blue-screen, I remember it said something about Memory Management; is it issue with my RAM? Should I buy new RAM?

Attached are the files (the Mini-dump files and the WER files) Link RemovedLink RemovedLink Removed that may be useful in your diagnosis to help me to solve the crashing and BSOD issue.

Big thanks for your help again. If you need any information to help the diagnosis, please feel free to reply and I will try to reply promptly.

Felix

Solution
When attaching dmp files, PLEASE put them in a single zipped folder.

Hi Felix and Welcome to The Forum.

STOP 0x0000001A: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
Usual causes:
Device driver, memory, kernel

Your latest dump files list ntkrnlmp.exe as the probable cause.
This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes.
Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues.

As a Priority:

AVG is known to be a cause of BSOD's on Windows 7 systems. Suggest that you uninstall it. Download the correct Link Removed for your system (32 or 64...
More information:
I am running Windows 7 (x64), SP1
Processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 [email protected]
RAM is 8GM (D3-1333) CL9 CORSAIR
Video Card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 (GGIGABYTE 560 GTX 1GBOC D5 PCIE)
Motherboard is ASUS P8H67-M/LE (B3) LGA1155 MATX
PSU is CM RS600-AMBAD3 600W SILENT PRO P.S.

About Graphic Driver:
My crashing problem was much more severe (like crashing within several minutes of game play). I have tried a lot of "recommended" solution I can find online, from reinstall the game, update video card driver, reinstall punkbuster, disable sound, change the in-game graphic setting (e.g. lower graphic setting to lowest), and finally I ask for a new graphic card from the vendor, which I did). Since then I have significantly improve my game play from several minutes to an hour with a crash, but crashing still a reoccurring problem. So I guess it is not only a GPU issue, I am not very knowledgeable in computer, I don't know whether this can also be a memory issue, motherboard conflict with video card.

Hello Felix, Link Removed to Windows 7 Forums.

Not sure if I can help, not an expert by no-means.
A few of the other members here have more expertise in reading the crash dumps and until one of them shows up, you may try to increase your user virtual address by opening Command Prompt, select Run as Administrator and type this in; bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500, then hit enter, wait for confirmation, then close CMD and restart your PC.
(Although running x64 w/8Gbs of memory you shouldn't have to do this, but it's worth a try and you can always reverse it.)
To reverse it, just re-open CMD and type in bcdedit /deletevalue increaseuserva, enter, wait, close and reboot.

You may also want to try going in to your Documents Library and locate the Battlefield 3 folder (Libraries-documents-battlefield 3) and delete it. You may have to re-set your settings when you start playing the game after deleting that folder.

Regards

Don

AVG is known to be a cause of BSOD's on Windows 7 systems. Suggest that you uninstall it. Download the correct Link Removed for your system (32 or 64 bit).
If you have AVG ID protection installed, download the AVGID Protection Remover from the above link as well (it wouldn't hurt to download and run it anyway). Download BSOD friendly Link Removed due to 404 Error as AVG's replacement.
Uninstall AVG through the Control Panel. Re-boot to Safe Mode and run the AVG Removal tool(s). Re-boot to normal mode and install MSE. Make sure your Windows firewall is enabled! After your blue screens have been resolved, feel free to re-try AVG.

dtsoftbus01.sys Fri Jan 13 13:45:46 2012 The dtsoftbus01.sys driver has been known to cause problems on some Windows 7 systems. This belongs to Daemon Tools Light. I suggest uninstalling DT Light until your blue screens are resolved. But do not replace with Daemon Tools!!

Solution
Hi Don,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Actually, I read from another forum and I have already "bcdedit /set increaseuserva 3072". I guess it is the same trick.
I also try the delete folder suggestion.
Frankly, the crashing problem still reoccur.
I am starting to worry about hardware issue...

Best regards,
Felix

Regards

Don

Hi Elmer,
I have removed AVG and DAEMON tools and installed MSE following your advice.
I will update my other drivers.
I will reply again with my latest experience in a week (or receiving a BSOD again). Hope I will have no blue screen problem for a long time.
Thanks again.

Best regards,
Felix

Just wondering if it bluescreens if you are not online. If you have not tried it, there is an option in Origin to go offline.

To Saltgrass, I won't be able to play if I set Origin to go offline. The bluescreen issue doesn't seem to tie to my internet connectivity.

To Elmer and others, I have another bluescreen (the computer was idle at the time). Attached is the mini-dump. Link Removed

By the way, when I reboot the computer after the MSE was installed, there was an update of over 1,000 files, is this normal?

Thanks.

Felix
