Hi,

I am hoping someone may be able to help. Finaly saved for a gaming laptop and having BSOD issues (it is literally brand new, I have had it for less than a week).

The BSOD crashes have primarily happened while playing COD MW3.

Hi,

Just noticed that I should zip uploads. I have deleted the old attachments and attached a zip file.

I have also attached the CPU-Z file.

Cheers

Clay

I don't know how to read those dump files, but I do know this. If this laptop is a week old, the OEM is supposed to make this right.

Probably one of the first things the OEM will ask, is did you do a reinstall, using one of those "F" keys. Sometimes, this clears things up, as it will be factory fresh again. But you'll also have to remove the crapware again. Those trial security suites requires a tool for removal, usually supplied be the OEM of the security app installed.

You may want to give that a shot. And if you've already haven't, be sure to burn your recovery disks, as you'll probably need them some day.

I have to go along with Banana on this. The PC is a week old. It's supposed to simply work out of the box, after updating.

Carry it back to the store & demand an exchange, or if bought online, contact the business for one. And make sure that you're not getting a refurb or "open box". You saved for a new PC, you deserve to get what you pay for.

Anything less than that would be unacceptable to me. The reason that I suggested the re-install function was because Windows Backup didn't properly work. The re-install fixed the issue. Since then, I've found other backup programs that are better than the built in Windows Backup.

Best of Luck,
Cat

Thanks for your support. I also think it should work without these issues. The seller has said that he thinks it is video card related. I have tried 2 versions of the drivers. The latest version and one before. Both have had blue screens. It is not constantly going to blue screen but it might be twice a day and then not at all the following day.

Hi,

I went back to the shop and they have suggested it is a driver issue?

Can anyone tell from the attached files if this is true? or any advice on how I can fix this?

Being that this computer is new, it's just supposed to work, as simple as that. If it is a driver, the retailer or OEM is supposed to make it right.

If you used a credit card or PayPal to pay for this computer, you may wish to file a complaint, just in case. Once they get behind a merchant's back, they'll do the right thing.
