I have new 8tb external hard drive need use data recovery . I used Rufus to install windows to go. Rufus set maximum size to 2tb. now I want to format the drive back to 8tb. When use Windows format, it can get 2tb.

how to solve this issue?

goto disk management, locate the drive and extend the partition, if thta wont work delete whatever partition and then re partition and then format.

  1. Malware or virus infection.
  2. Bad sectors.
  3. Missing or damaged DLL, SYS, or EXE files.
  4. Damaged hard drive partition.
  5. Disk write protection.
  6. Incorrect drive format.
  7. Incompatible or outdated hardware drivers or BIOS
