Windows 7 Cannot Save Due To Insufficient Permissions

I am trying to download something to my computer.

However, it will not download.

I have tried every browser and it will still not download.

Instead, I am getting this:

Cannot save due to insufficient permissions. Please save to another location.

I tried doing that. It didn't work.

I am also getting this:

Failed- Insufficient permissions
 
  • Press WinKey + e
  • Navigate to C:\Users
  • Right click on your user folder and select Properties
  • Click on the Security tab
  • Your username should be listed, if it is click on it and verify you have Allow checked for Full Control
  • Click on Advanced, for your username verify Applies To is set to This folder, subfolders and files
  • If it is not click select your username and click Edit
  • Change the drop down to This folder, subfolders and files
  • Click OK > Apply
