I can't seem to create a system repair disc, I get the following error:

"system Repair disc could not be created"
    "The parameter is incorrect. (0x80070057)

I tried running repair windows 7 from the install desk.

    my system:
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
    Asus P6T intel i975

It looks like you have to select the correct CD burner and have a CD-R or DVD-R or whatever media that is burnible in the drive. If you are doing that, do you see any other messages? I have no idea what parameter they are referring to...

You might want to change the media. Sometimes certain (cheap) media causes problems when burning.

Have you checked to see if there are any firmware updates for your burner?
