Hi all,

So I had canada computers build me a computer back in late august (I picked all the parts) and I've been having problems from day 1. Originally it was the occasional BSOD and my computer would always seem to hang on shut down, until one day windows just refused to boot. For some reason I was not able to reinstall windows myself so I had to bring it to canada computers and they had to use an external optical drive (something about the cables being in the wrong ports?). I got my computer back three days ago; I've had a total of SEVENTEEN blue screens since then. I've tried debugging the .DMP files myself but the most I've gotten out of it is the most likely causes are NETIO.SYS and JRAID.SYS. At this point I don't know what else to do; when I brought the computer to canada computers they ran a whole bunch of tests on the hardware for a few days and it showed no faulty parts. I've attached a file containing all the data asked for by Captain in his sticky (or at least to the best of my knowledge), along with with the photos taken of CPU-Z.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Wesley

Solution
Netio.sys is an MS system file - no need to update.
JRAID - search motherboard support or Link Removed due to 404 Error
PCTools - this is what caused your blue screen.
PCTools is the culprit. Uninstall it.

First of all, thank you for the quick reply :)

Secondly, PCTools is the maker of Spyware Doctor, which is what I am currently using as my antispyware and antivirus. Meaning I'm going to need a new antivirus, would MSE do the trick? I find that Spyware Doctor has a tendency to find viruses most other programs don't (such as Norton Antivirus). Either way I think I'll take the risk of getting a few viruses over constant BSODs :P

Also I tried finding the updates for NETIO.SYS and JRAID.SYS but I really didn't have any luck, any suggestions?

Once again, thank you,

Wesley

Netio.sys is an MS system file - no need to update.
JRAID - search motherboard support or Link Removed due to 404 Error
PCTools - this is what caused your blue screen.

Solution
Thank you so much :)

I uninstalled Spyware Doctor and I have yet to get a BSOD :) Hopefully the problem is fixed for good :P

So its been almost 5 days now, and I haven't had a SINGLE BSOD since I uninstalled Spyware Doctor! Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

Okey there, thank you for your feedback. : )

As for PCTools, it has many products so all their drivers belong to PCTools. Spyware doctor was in your case. : )
