Windows 7 Crackling noise on pc start up

I have crackling noise on pc start up (outside Windows). I'm using a Hama USB sound card.

If you have an integrated sound card = motherboard, try using it instead of the USB one. That could be the first step, just to determine if it's a Hama problem, or possibly another.
