Windows 10 Defender Offline won't scan

Hi,

I'm having trouble when I try to do a Windows Defender Offline scan. I get as far as the box "Windows Defender Offline" - the point just before the scan starts - but once it starts it switches to Quick Scan. I'm wondering if I might have an infection that would be picked up by Defender Offline and the malware blocks DO and it defaults to Quick Scan.

The offline scan should take about 15 minutes, it may kick off a quick scan too. The quick scan simply looks at start up entries in the event the real-time protection missed something. You can look in the threat history to see the results of the scan.
