Windows 7 Disable Group Popup On Taskbar

Is there any way to disable this popup that gets triggered when hovering?

I have grouping disabled, and I find that the grouping popup gets in the way when I'm trying to do other things near the taskbar. I generally don't run more than 8-10 programs on the taskbar at a time so I don't find this feature necessary.

Anyone have any ideas? I haven't seen anything in the policy editor that might fix this, and I'm not sure where to even start looking in the registry.

Aha! This seems to have done the trick: Link Removed - Invalid URL

Apparently thumbnail preview is lumped together with the popup boxes with close buttons on them.

Hallelujah! No more accidentally closing applications!

Gah, never mind, I thought it went away after but it didn't. I just can't find anything anywhere that fixes the problem, it's very counter productive.
