Hey guys,
Im currently running Windows 7 x84 and would like to upgrade/install Windows 7 x64. I have the disc (Downloaded from MSDN, i am a current member with the correct cd keys and everything) but i place it in the drive, boot from it, it gets just past the Windows is loading setup files or something along those lines. And then gets to the splash screen with the flower type thing on the right, loads for about 15 seconds.. And then does nothing, no installation..No nothing, im just wondering if there is anyway i can fix this..
My specs;
Gigabyte EP31-DS3L Mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80GHz
4Gb DDR2 OCZ memory
512mb ATI Radeon 4850 (Not sure if thats even needed)

Hello and welcome to the windows7forums.
We all agree that an upgrade is not the right route to take.
It leaves hundreds of useless files on your system and can cause conflicts.
I would reburn the ISO at it's slowest speed (1x) and make sure to use a good quality name-brand DVD.
I use Imgburn and have never had a problem.

I use an old program called Clipmate which I purchased a long time ago.
I love it.
