Windows 7 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ntoskrnl.exe

I have received this BSOD in the past. This time it was randomly triggered. In the past, it has been triggered from high intensity gaming. That was another issue though. All the necessary information is attached.

Link Removed due to 404 Error

Thanks in advance,
Lee

EDIT: It seems to happen I have extreme stress on my graphics card. For example, it just crashed when running three Diablo III clients and DayZ.

Only 97 updates - most Win7 SP1 systems have 130 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get all available updates.

E: drive only has about 11% free space. 15% is recommended - please free up (approximately) an additional 24 gB for optimum performance.

3 hard drives installed - what is the make, model, and wattage of your Power Supply?

This is most likely (IMO) caused by a Razer Lachesis driver that's not Win7 compatible. Please visit the Razer website to download and install the latest, Win7 compatible Razer drivers.

Also, Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Although this driver isn't all that old, we have seen problems with it in the past - so I suggest updating it "just-in-case".

In the event that all of the above doesn't stop the BSOD's - please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html

I updated all my drivers and my windows updates seem to be up to date.
I have around 20% free space on my E: drive now.
Power Supply - Make: Coolmax Model: RM-1000B Wattage: 1000W

Thank you for all your help. I will let you know if I blue screen again.

Thanks again,
Lee

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - wanarp.sys ---&--- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ndis.sys

I seem to blue screen when I run a game I play, DayZ and Diablo III at the same time. Although, it has happened with just multiple Diablo III clients running. I have also had blue screens caused by the ntoskrnl.exe driver as well. All my info is attached below:

Link Removed due to 404 Error

Thanks in advance,
Lee

P.S. Thank you usasma for helping me previously.

EDIT: I just got another BSOD - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA - atikmdag.sys - Here is the new minidump file: Link Removed due to 404 Error

PSU is probably OK (I'm not familiar with the brand - but 1000watts is probably well above what you need.
Good luck!

I'm going to ask the moderators to merge this topic with your old one - so we can keep all the info in the same place.

Re: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - wanarp.sys ---&--- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ndis.sys

Sounds good, thank you.

EDIT: As far as the problem(s), any suggestions? :)

Sorry for the delay, but I needed to compare the older analysis with the latest memory dumps.

Make sure that you've updated the Lachesis drivers AND the firmware.
Un-install LogMeIn.
Update the Asus Xonar DG drivers - the latest date from 2011
Update the keyboard drivers

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Should I be uninstalling just LogMeIn or both LogMeIn and LogMeIn Ignition?

EDIT: Also, I'm not using the Asus Xonar DG drivers anymore I don't think. I have another audio card that I use. Should I just uninstall them?

Re: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - wanarp.sys ---&--- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ndis.sys

Okay I have uninstalled/updated the drivers. However, I am a little confused here. It says cmudaxp.sys is the HTO CLARO Audio Interf, which is my new audio card (not the one provided with my motherboard(which is an asus rampage II extreme)). However, you're saying that cmudaxp.sys is for the Asus Xonar DG stuff? I guess I just need some clarification on what exactly I need to keep/get rid of pertaining to my audio card drivers.

Thanks again,
Lee

Re: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - wanarp.sys ---&--- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ndis.sys

The descriptions of the driver that I use are based on the reports at Driver Reference Table (DRT) (my website).
We get them from submissions by different members - and either myself or jcgriff2 approve them before they're posted to the site.

In this case, a search for your video card reveals that your card (and presumably the Asus Xonar DG card) both use C-Media audio drivers - so I've updated the link to reflect all 3 driver sources. Driver Reference Table - cmudaxp.sys

I suggest using the most current drivers from the place that made the chipset for the card - but this depends on the functionality that the drivers offer to you. If the C-Media drivers don't have enough functions, then use the most updated Claro drivers. I prefer the C-Media drivers simply because they come from the people who designed the chipset for the card - and have no clue about the finer points of audio performance.

Finally, regardless of which card it came from - it dates from before SP1 came out. As such, it's suspect merely because of it's age.
I would suggest:
- download a fresh set of the C-Media drivers
- un-install all sound card software and drivers
- reboot
- verify that cmudaxp.sys is not present in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ (DO NOT delete it - post back if it is and we'll describe a method to safely remove it)
- if it's not present, then install the freshly downloadedC-Media drivers and test for further BSOD's

Now on to the memory dump analysis....

Updated the link for Ortek keyboard drivers (UsbFltr.sys): Link Removed - Invalid URL

Have you updated the Razer Lachesis drivers to the latest available Win7 version (the dating scheme in their drivers isn't easily deciphered). Have you also updated the firmware for this device? If you've done both, please un-install the software for the device and remove the device from your system (temporarily). Use another mouse temporarily to see if that doesn't stop the BSOD's. If it doesn't, then feel free to reinstall the latest drivers for the device after we've stopped the BSOD's.

Here's the list of the older drivers that I'm concerned about. Also, the BSOD errors that you've reported are generally associated with a driver problem.
So please update/remove the programs for these drivers from your system and see if you get further BSOD's:

Re: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - wanarp.sys ---&--- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ndis.sys

When trying to reinstall the c-media driver(s), at the end of the setup it says please insert hto claro audio device (as if it doesn't recognize that it's plugged in). Similar conflict with the UsbFltr.sys. When I try to update it, it says please plug in (some type of) controller. I don't remember exactly. If you could inform me on how to remove the UsbFltr driver, along with the audio card update, I think my computer is pretty close to being bsod-free. :)

Thanks again,
Lee

EDIT: I was also reading up somewhere that a BIOS update might fix the problem if none of these driver fixes fix it. Thoughts?

EDIT(2): I restarted my computer a second time, and it allowed me to install the c-media driver. I still cannot update or install the UsbFltr.sys driver, and I think I should uninstall, but I'm unsure how to.

EDIT(3): Another BSOD - Here is an update - Link Removed due to 404 Error

EDIT(4): New BSOD - caused by usbuhci.sys - dump file - Link Removed due to 404 Error

EDIT(5): I have updated my BIOS to the newest version. This could have been the problem. I have also removed one stick of RAM, putting me down at 20GB. Removing this stick in the past seemed to have fixed my problem. Therefore, if I don't blue screen for 48 hours, I will put the RAM stick back in and deduce my problems from there if I have any.

Re: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - wanarp.sys ---&--- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ndis.sys

To safely remove UsbFltr.sys

1. Create a System Repair Disc. Go to Start...All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc

2. Create a System Restore Point

3. Download and install Autoruns (free from here: Autoruns for Windows ). Search within Autoruns for anything that uses UsbFltr.sys. Disable them by removing the checkmark from the far left column.

4. Check in services.msc for any UsbFltr.sys services. Disable any that you may find.

5. Check Device Manager (to include the View...Show hidden devices menu) and see if there are any UsbFltr.sys entries. If so, disable them (later on you can un-install them).

6. Rename UsbFltr.sys to UsbFltr.BAD (should be located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder)

7. Reboot

If the system won't boot, use the System Repair Disc (Command Prompt option) to re-rename UsbFltr.BAD to UsbFltr.sys

Then use the System Repair Disc (System Restore option) to restore the system to the state it was in prior to attempting to remove the driver.

Good luck!

Same advice as before - update or remove the programs associated with the older drivers.

Either the BIOS update or the removal of one 4GB stick of RAM has fixed the problem. If I don't blue screen by tomorrow morning, I'll put the RAM stick back in and confirm the results.

Thanks again for all your help,
