Windows 7 Encounter with BSOD

New Member
Greetings to All,

I have encountered BSOD last night and I attach my crash dump file on this post. This isn't my first BSOD experience but it is my first using Windows 7 Ulitmate X86. I haven't before set out to finding out the cause of BSOD and analyse the problem. So please ingore my noobity at not noting down the details that appear on the Blue Screen. However, I am uploading Crash Dump (.dmp) for understanding the problem.

My PC Info:
OS- Windows 7 Ultimate X86 SP 1
Desktop Board- Intel DG45ID
Processor- Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz
RAM- Corsair XMS2 2GB 800 Mhz

I would like to request the Forum to help me understanding the reason/cause of the BSOD which I encountered. Also guide me to how and what to take note of from the BSOD in future.

I am not very computer literate, so please try to be easy with your explainations/analysis whereever possible.

Thank you and
Looking forward for your valued analysis.

Looks very much like a RAM issue:

Firstly, I thank you for the help.

Secondly, I am uploading CPUZ and Rammon reports wihout implementing your recomendations above...

Please have a relook at the attached images and see if you can find any more issues for me to address to...

Thanks

1. I asked for HTML for Rammon. Looks alright Corsair stick 800Mhz 5-5-5-18.

Follow 2, 3, and 4.

Any particular reason for HTML?

I have Uninstalled 2 and 3 and updated 4.

Also do you think the present 2gb memory is sufficient? I am planing to move to X64 architecture and for that I guess I need more memory. I would like to ask how much more and should I go for paired memory or just add another single channel memory(s)?

Thanks for the support...

Yes, HTML has more information than a screenshot and HTML is easier to read too.

x64 architecture works fine with 2Gb of RAM, yes sufficient. However, to get real advantages from it such as multitasking and computer engineering, you need more than 4Gb. For a home pc user, it won't make any difference unless need to use more than 3,25Gb of RAM.

Good.

Thanks for your confirmation and suggestion regarding Ram. I will bear in mind in future to upload Rammon HTML.

I have run my PC yesterday for almost 8 hours non-stop and I have not encountered any problems since I followed your instructions.

I hope I won't see the BSOD again...

Make sure that you have uninstalled System Protect by Xacti Corporation.

Then if system crashes again, uninstall Comodo and replace it with Link Removed due to 404 Error.
