Hi.

I've been trying to get my Epson Perfection 2450 Photo working using Vista 32 bit drivers from Epson's website, but everytime I try to activate a scan in photoshop or other programs I get a program failure error and the whole thing fails.

So, I can get as far as loading the twain5 import function in photoshop, but it stops working when I try a scan preview or a scan.

Has anyone else run into this same problem?

Please help...I have work to do. hehe.

Update Drivers: Ensure you have the latest drivers for your Epson Perfection 2450 Photo scanner. You mentioned using Vista 32-bit drivers, but sometimes newer drivers might be available that are compatible with Vista. You can check Epson's website for any updated drivers for your scanner model. 3. TWAIN Compatibility: Make sure that the TWAIN drivers are properly installed and configured. TWAIN drivers are necessary for communication between the scanner and imaging software like Photoshop. Reinstalling or updating TWAIN drivers might resolve the issue. 4. Check Device Manager: Check the Device Manager to ensure that your scanner is recognized by the system without any conflicts or issues. If there are any conflicts, try resolving them from the Device Manager. 5. Software Updates: Ensure that your operating system and imaging software like Photoshop are up to date. Sometimes updates can introduce compatibility improvements that might help resolve the scanning issue. 6. Other Scanning Software: Try using different scanning software to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to Photoshop or if it's a broader compatibility issue. 7. Contact Epson Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Epson's customer support for further assistance. They may have specific solutions or workarounds for your scanner model on Windows Vista.
