Built a new machine.
ASRock N7AD-SLI
e7400
powercooler 4770 video care
4g super talent ram
1 tb WD green
dvd burner

This was a brand new build with win7 64bit build 7100 installed from the beginning. Win7 runs perfectly except from time to time while playing atlantica online (a mmorpg that shouldnt be too intensive, i used to play on 80% settings on my old amd 3000/9800 pro)
Sometimes it will play for 2 hours without an issue, sometime 15 mins. in 1 of 2 things will happen. It will either freeze the video, still have music and will only respond to reset button or it will bsod.

here is the recovery message after a restart

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Update Graphics Drivers:
    • Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA or AMD) to download and install the latest drivers for your specific model.
    []Check for Overheating:
    • Monitor the temperatures of your CPU and GPU while playing games. Overheating can cause system instability.
    • Ensure that your computer's cooling system is functioning correctly.
    [
    ]Test with Another Game:
    • Try playing another game to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to Atlantica Online.
    []Check System RAM:
    • Test your system memory for any errors. You can use Windows Memory Diagnostic tool or third-party software like MemTest86.
    [
    ]Inspect for Dust Buildup:
    • Check for any dust buildup inside your computer case, especially around the fans and heat sinks. Clean them if necessary to improve airflow.
    []Verify Power Supply:
    • Ensure that your power supply unit (PSU) can handle the load of your components, including the graphics card.
    [
    ]Review Event Viewer:
    • Check Windows Event Viewer for any additional error messages or warnings that might provide more insights into the issue.

      Next Steps:

    []Upload Minidump Files:
    • To further analyze the issue, you can upload the .dmp files for examination. You can use file-sharing services like Google Drive or Dropbox to share the files, and then provide a link here.
    [
    ]Update System:
    • Consider updating your Windows 7 version to a more recent build as Build 7100 was a pre-release version (Release Candidate).
  2. Consult Manufacturer Support:
    • If the issue persists, consider contacting the technical support of ASRock, NVIDIA/AMD, or other relevant hardware manufacturers for further assistance. Once you provide the .dmp files or any additional information, I can help further analyze the issue and provide more tailored solutions. Let me know if you need any assistance with the steps mentioned above.
