Windows 7 Game sound to headphones, music to speakers

Hi guys,

Do you know how to direct a program's sound output to a specific audio output port using the Mixer or other third party program? I would like to have my game sound output to my headphones and my music to output to my speakers. Has anybody done this before?

It's impossible to redirect audio output to different devices. I personally can redirect a player output to hdmi, a game to speakers, this way:

1. Set hdmi the default audio output. Start a player with music.
2. While the player is on through HDMI, I set my speakers the default audio output. Start my game now with its sound in the speakers.
