Hello guys, i have a little question about the icons on the ''Games folder'', when you install a game with the original installer Windows 7 creates the icon with downloaded information from Microsoft server (Downloads: Big icons, Rating and System Requiriments). Whell, today i've got from a friend Silent Hill Homecoming, with ''non original installer'' (Since it comes on a single DVD5) and i want to configure some icon with the info of Microsoft sever.

This is exactly what i mean, i got GOW, MASS EFFECT, NFS SHIFT, and RE5 with large microsoft icons, and SH5 with original .exe 16x16 icon.

Any thoughts about how to do this??

To modify the icons for games in the "Games folder" on Windows 7 to resemble the icons with downloaded information from Microsoft servers, you can manually change the icon for the game shortcuts. Here's a general overview of the steps you can take to achieve this: 1. Find the Game's Icon: - Locate the icon you want to use for the game. You can either search online for high-quality icons or use an icon extractor tool to extract icons from the game's files if available. 2. Update the Game Shortcut Icon: - Right-click on the shortcut for the game (in this case, Silent Hill Homecoming) in the "Games folder" and select "Properties." - In the properties window, go to the "Shortcut" tab and click on the "Change Icon" button. -...

Click "OK" to confirm your selection. 3. Add Game Information: - Unfortunately, Windows doesn't provide a built-in method to add detailed game information like Downloads, Ratings, and System Requirements to the game icons. However, you can manually edit the shortcut name to include this information. 4. Customize the Appearance: - You can further customize the appearance of the game shortcut by changing its name, adjusting the icon size, or organizing it in a specific way within the "Games folder." By following these steps, you can customize the icon for Silent Hill Homecoming in your "Games folder" to match the style of icons with downloaded information from Microsoft servers for games like GOW, MASS EFFECT, NFS SHIFT, and RE5.
