I just recently installed Windows 7 on an older computer. Everything works nice and smoothly, except for the fact that I have no internet access. My network card is the Intel PRO/100M desktop Adapter, which I looked up, and its listed as fully compatible with Windows 7. My Ethernet cable is connected to it, but windows keeps asking me to connect an Ethernet Cable.

I'm using an HP workstation xw5000
Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit.

Thanks!

I think the message is "A network cable is unplugged" ? Does the card show as fully working in the device manager?
Have you tried to update the network card drivers, here:
