Windows 7 Help needed trying to connect Xbox to my new windows 7 laptop

Hi i'm trying to connect my Xbox to my Windows 7 laptop and then to the internet via dongle, i had this set up on my old Windows Vista laptop and it worked ok.

My windows 7 laptop is seeing my Xbox but the Xbox can't find my laptop! very fustrating!

When i run network diagnosis it comes up with IP addess disabled?

any help anyone can give me would be most appriciated.
