I just installed windows 7 since it was released. When I install WLM, it worked fine for the first couple of hours then starts showing this message every time I log in:

"Windows live messenger has stopped working."

I uninstalled and reinstalled it twice but it still happens that way.

I couldn't find any useful information from google search.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM! THANK YOU!!!

Check for Updates: Make sure that Windows Live Messenger is up to date. Check for any available updates and install them. 3. Run as Administrator: Try running Windows Live Messenger as an administrator to see if it makes any difference. Right-click the shortcut or executable and select "Run as administrator." 4. Disable Add-ons: Sometimes, add-ons and plugins can cause compatibility issues. Try disabling any add-ons or plugins you have installed in Windows Live Messenger. 5. Check Event Viewer: Look at the Event Viewer logs to find more detailed information about the error. It may provide clues about what is causing Windows Live Messenger to crash. 6. Check for System Updates: Ensure that your Windows 7 system is fully updated with the latest patches and security updates. Sometimes, system updates can resolve compatibility issues. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be worth considering an alternative messaging application since Windows Live Messenger is no longer officially supported by Microsoft. Applications like Skype, Discord, or other messaging apps might be more stable on Windows 7. Try these steps and let me know if any of them work for you. If the issue persists, we can explore other solutions.
