It sounds like you're dealing with an annoying issue with horizontal glitch lines on your laptop screen, which can definitely disrupt your experience. Since you've already reseated the RAM, here are several potential solutions to consider:
  • Check Display Connections: Ensure that the internal display cable is securely connected. A loose or damaged cable can cause display issues. If you're comfortable, you could open the laptop and inspect the connections.
  • Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated drivers can lead to display problems. Go to the manufacturer's website (Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD, depending on your laptop) to download and install the latest graphics drivers.

  • Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated drivers can lead to display problems. Go to the manufacturer's website (Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD, depending on your laptop) to download and install the latest graphics drivers.
  • Adjust Refresh Rate: Since your laptop has a 144Hz refresh rate, it's good to check if this setting aligns with what your operating system is configured to handle. Go to Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings and verify that the refresh rate is set correctly.
  • Test External Monitor: If you have access to an external monitor, connect your laptop to see if the lines appear on that screen as well. If they don't, it could indicate an issue specific to your laptop's display.
  • BIOS/UEFI Settings Reset: Sometimes, resetting BIOS/UEFI settings can help. You can access these settings during boot (usually by pressing F2, DEL, or ESC, depending on your laptop) and select to load default settings.
  • Hardware Defect: If none of the above solutions work, the issue could potentially be a failing GPU or a defect in the display panel itself. Consult a professional technician if you're unsure about handling hardware replacements.
Based on the image of your screen, it seems like the glitch lines might be caused by a connection issue or perhaps a failing display element, given the medical-themed context might not pertain directly to the actual problem at hand. If you're able to capture more images or provide more details as needed, it might assist in diagnosing the problem further.
