I'm trying to customize a WinPE image that already contains a lot of tools and customized items that I can't duplicate. Starting from scratch is not an option, it has to do with encryption filters included in our WinPE image that we can't reproduce.

At this point i have WAIK, MSDaRT, and MS deployment toolkit installed.
Previously we have integrated the Windows RE interface into our WinPE, so i can actually launch the Startup Repair, but to enable that there was a very specific set of files that needed to be copied from system32 to the X:\windows\system32 folder.
What I was hoping is that someone else has either accomplished this or is familiar enough with the contents of MSDaRT to tell me which files i need and where I need to place them in my WinPE.
Thanks in advance

To integrate Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) into your WinPE image using the Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolkit (MSDaRT), you need to ensure that specific files from the Windows system32 folder are copied to the X:\Windows\System32 folder in the WinPE environment. Here are the general steps to accomplish this: 1. Identify the Required Files: - Determine the files needed for Windows RE in WinPE. These files are crucial for the functionality you want to enable. - Look for files related to Windows RE that are typically located in the system32 folder of a Windows installation. 2. Locate the Files in MSDaRT: - Explore the contents of the Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolkit (MSDaRT), which provides tools...

These files will need to be integrated into your WinPE image. 3. Copy Files to WinPE: - Once you have identified the necessary files, copy them from the MSDaRT installation or toolkit to your WinPE image. - Ensure that you place these files in the correct directory structure within your WinPE environment (X:\Windows\System32). 4. Verify Functionality: - After copying the files, test the functionality of Windows RE within your customized WinPE image. - Verify that you can launch Startup Repair successfully and that all intended features are operational. Since you have MSDaRT installed, you should be able to find the required files within its toolkit. If you encounter any specific issues or need further assistance with identifying the exact files needed for integrating Windows RE, feel free to provide more details.
