I recently purchased a Vizio 42" LCD TV which has a 120Hz refresh rate. When I plug my computer into the TV via HDMI, Windows 7 only allows a 60Hz refresh rate at 1920 x 1080.

How can I set the refresh rate to 120Hz? I have searched everywhere...thanks.

Hello SlipperyPete,

to Windows 7 Forums,

Sorry for such a late response.
What graphics card are you using?
If using a nVidia, use a Dual-Link DVI cable to enable the 120Hz refresh rate.
Open the nVidia Control Panel, then select "Change Resolution" and from the "Refresh Rate" pull down menu, you should then be able to set your 120Hz refresh rate, then click "Apply"

Hope this helps

Don
