Hi all,
I have a problem with my laptop since this morning! I wanted to start it up as normally but it didnt want to start windos well, there was just a blue screen with a window "SETUP REPAIR" i have tried to solve it on my own but im not really into that suff , so now when i run my laptop it runs automatically START UP REPAIR and try to repair it but finally there just shows up a windos saying "Start Up cannot repair this computer automatically" . I aslo tried to start it from Advanced Boot Options and there is select "repair your computer" then there is a window saying SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTIONS i select a language and clikc NEXT then "to acces recovery options, log on as a local user" and " to acces the command prompt as well, log using an administrator account" so i select administrator account and click ok and it says something like that "Your account has been disabled. Please see ur sysmtem administraor" but then i select my user name i clikc ok and it goes on to SYSTEM RECOVERY OPTIONS and there i can choose a recovery tool , the operatin system is Microsof Windows vista on (C:) acer and ive tried to do startup repair or system restore (it doesnt find a restore point" and there is a still a problem that it cant repair it automactially!
I REALLY need help with that! is there anyone how could tell me step by step how to make it work! i have very important files on my laptop and all stuff like photos, documents, ect...i really dont wanna install new software which will delete all the files!

Solution
Thanks for trying at least...
I know you don't want to do a fresh install but why not try an 'upgrade' installation? That way your old files and folders will stay intact and you'll be able to at least have access to them to back them up. Once thats done you could then do a clean install which I cannot recommend enough because using the machine in that state is inviting trouble....
Maybe We Should Look At This Differently

Unfortunately Celestra agatina can't boot into windows... Nice idea though....:)

Perhaps we should think of this as a dead machine? Just a possible suggestion.

I also found this software: Link Removed due to 404 Error (Pre-Windows)

You can use it without being able to connect to "Windows." If this can't be used on your machine they have other varieties.

hi kemical
so im just about to start it, but just want to ask one thing....with this win7 upgrade can i back up all my files? or i need some empty dvds or ...for exaplme an external hardwarde to save all my files? im not sure how does it work....

ahh,,,,and one more thing, where i can get that windows 7 ? i havent got a disc with it

Sorry I was thinking you could back up some of your files before the process but obviously you can't because you don't have access. Anyway you shouldn't lose anything during the upgrade process...

You'll have to change the boot order too and to help you with this here are some instructions you can print off:
Boot Order - How to Change the Boot Order in BIOS - BIOS Boot Order

Don't forget that you'll need to change the boot order to 'CD/DVD' first and then HDD second with floppy being last.
Save and reboot with your disk in the drive. Then watch out for the words 'press any key to install now' which will appear in the 2nd or third boot screen. Press any key and then the process will start. Then all you have got to do is make sure you look out for the upgrade page like I showed you above...
Good luck! :)

ahh,,,,and one more thing, where i can get that windows 7 ? i havent got a disc with it

How did you originally install 7? or are you using vista?

Ok,ok.....sorry I should have asked...So your using vista yes... but you only have a repair disk yes?

How old is the laptop? As I was thinking you could ask the company that you bought it from for the installation disk as by rights it's yours..

one more thing...i saw that screen with win 7 to upgrade and i have the same screen and the same command to install now but with vista not 7

yes if you can do it then certainly go ahead

but will this delete my files? anyway...do u know some programm or something with which i can save some files which i need now? maybe i could burn them somehow on empty dvd? i dont know if it is possible but its worth to ask ;)

The upgrade/repair will not remove the files or folders...For back ups and the like this software is pretty good:
