Windows XP i lost my administrator account

i lost my administrator account and i dont know how or why its gone there is no way for me to get on it can someone help?

is the profile folder for that user still present under C:\Documents and Settings\ ?

no only 1 account is in it

That's strange. Maybe you have a virus. You have to create a new admin account or make the current account the admin account.

the option to do so isnt there

 

[Trouble]

If this is XP Home, boot into safe mode and log on with the username Administrator, no / blank password.
If it's XP Pro, hit Ctrl + Alt + Del two times and then type Administrator into the username box and blank / no password
