Been to EA phone support and they just told be to go away and to suck it up. Others on the forum are rude as hell and don't want to hear my problem or even be bothered to help. So I came back here.
Same with Steam, they set the rules you have to comply with. Their final word is want to use their systems get a good internet connection because their patches are vital.
With EA games navigate to the game's folder and rename the updater file to .old.
But I can't Join a server or if I do I get kicked saying I have an old version and need to update.
Steam is a little different. The updates are small, and if something happens they just pick up from the last point.
That's what I'm trying to do, is get the update but it fails either wayWith multiplayers you'll have to get the updates, no other way.
cybercore;Yea said:I Don't really care about how fast the connection is or how long it is going to take, it is the fastest I can get, I just want to resume the download on IE9 from where it dropped
and if I don't start getting some help I'll be going elsewhere to find it! Because I'am kinda in a hurry for the 29th. It has nothing to do with the Connection because I just got a Teamfortess 2 update and the BF2 1.50 update.
Can you not use a download manager? (I dunno, don't do games!)
That clears that one up then!! Now I really understand the problem. : )That's the problem, no download managers, you have to get updates through their system. : )
