It seems like you are experiencing an issue with programs not showing up in the Start Menu under All Programs after upgrading from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 RC. This could be due to compatibility issues or a glitch in the upgrade process. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue: 1. Rebuild the Start Menu: Sometimes, the Start Menu items might not display correctly due to corruption. You can try rebuilding the Start Menu to see if it resolves the issue. - Right-click on the Start button and choose "Properties." - Go to the "Start Menu" tab and click on the "Customize" button. - Click on the "Use Default Settings" button to reset the Start Menu to its default state. 2. Run System File Checker (SFC): Running the System File Checker tool can help repair missing or corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. - Open a Command Prompt as an administrator. - Type the command sfc /scannow and press Enter. - Wait for the scan to complete and follow any on-screen instructions if issues are found. 3. Create a New User Account: Sometimes, user profile corruption can cause issues with the Start Menu. Try creating a new user account and check if the programs appear correctly in the Start Menu for the new account. 4. Check Program Compatibility: Ensure that the programs you installed are compatible with Windows 7 RC. Some older programs might not work properly on a newer operating system. 5. Check for Windows Updates: Make sure that your Windows 7 RC installation is up to date by checking for and installing any available Windows updates. 6. Reinstall the Applications: If the issue persists, try reinstalling the applications in Windows 7 directly instead of upgrading them from Vista. By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the issue with programs not showing up in the Start Menu after upgrading from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 RC. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.
