is this true that when SP1 is released of windows 7, this will happen:
--- You won't be able to run Windows Updates
--- After SP1 is released the crack will be recognized and you will have a period of 15 days left to activate your copy of windows 7 until you can't log in any more
IS THIS True!?
and also how would we be able to fix this problem? is there cracks, or woudl u just have to install sp1 all over again? i know its like 6 months to go, but i have w7 on 3 PCs and it will be such a hassle-this is why im getting so worried
Wow, I didn't expect such an arrogant answer from you Radenight. :\
Anyways @Original Poster: I bet a new crack/fix will be made in time. Don't worry.
Why would you want to buy something as overpriced as Windows. It costs like 400 dollars for something that could cost 30. and still be making a profit.
If you don't like the price you can always go to Mac or Linux
Joe
It wasn't an arrogant answer, it was simply stating the facts as I see them regarding pirated versions of Windows..My apologies if it seemed arrogant..
I'm sorry, but that ideology is just horribly unintelligent. If you don't like the price you can always go to Mac or Linux
Joe
Well I took your post as my version is better then yours because I payed for it.
Sorry for the misunderstanding then. No, that's not at all what I was saying. I do not condone the use of pirated versions of Windows.. I also don't condone the use of cracks on Windows.. That's all I was saying...And I'm sorry but from the above statement you just made it sound to me like you do condone the use of pirated/cracked versions of Windows..
I really don't see how I lied by saying that the way to solve the problem would be to not use an illegaly cracked version but to go out and actually pay for the software...
Anyway, if you don't agree with my opinion that's fine, I never said you had to..All I was doing was stating mine..
Sorry for the misunderstanding then.
And yes I do condone piracy, but not as a form of thievery. More in the idea that it should be free to begin with and your just correcting an imbalance. Ideally for me everything would be free, but with an option to donate to the company/individual who made it. I also don't believe in copyright either. XD For example anything I create(Music, videos, images, lyrics, papers, anything) I allow anybody to use for whatever purposes without permission or crediting. So that's really what couples together and is why I condone piracy.
I'm sorry, but that ideology is just horribly unintelligent.
With that mentality its like saying "Don't like the world, well just kill yourself"
Ok this is probably my final thoughts on this subject, but i cant see the difference between stealing software, by using a crack or patch and going into a shop, grabbing something off a shelf, putting it under my coat and walking out without paying for it.
Both in my opinion are bad and against the law.
I just pray for the day that MS come out with a way of making a crack proof version of its software that will stop all this piracy, I cant see it, but i live in hope.
I'm sorry, but that ideology is just horribly unintelligent.
With that mentality its like saying "Don't like the world, well just kill yourself." Or "Don't like a law, get the heck out of my country."
My opinion is that they should drop the price or expect piracy. I don't think there would be a 1/4 of the people pirating 7 if the price was something like 30 bucks. We aren't all rich ya know.
If I ran MS I'd hire some hacker types and make updates with things to really mess up cracked versions when they try and update even with stand alone updates. Like I said if you don't like MS get Mac or Linux you wait for Google's dream system. So you think if you want a new Corvett you can go and rip it off from the dealer because the price is to high to suit you?
