You didn't say what type of computer you have. Perhaps you brought a battery backup ups that is draining fast when power is out because you purchased the wrong ups for your computer that draws lots of wattage.
UPS battery backups aren't for continuing to use your computer sessions or playing games like nothing happened. It is for giving you time to save your documents or projects and then shutting down your computer after a power loss.
