Can't get the datemodified: trick to work in my windows explorer. It doesn't show the promised calendar, parameters such as "thisweek" give nothing. Is WIndows 10 a bunch of crap? Never had this and a hundred other problems with 7 but it seems we're forced to use this OS or migrate to Linux (which I may well do). Is it language specific? Not that windows seems to respond with an error or just look textually for datemodified: I'm running an Asus OEM Danish language windows 10 Home. I just don't like it and it doesn't grow on me. Had it two and a half years now. Sorry about the gripes - just wondering if anyone can solve this problem really or knows of an alternative way to search for files in Win 10 without going to PowerShell which I'm not specially inclined to sacrifice weeks learning.
Solution
datemodified:yesterday in explorer works fine for me.
Is the Search Indexer service disabled? If it is re-enable it and let it index.
