hello peeps,

So I own Windows 7 premium x64, but I have no updates installed, I bought steering wheel Logitech G29, but in order to play with it I need Logitech gaming software installed which requires security update KB3033929 installed, can I simply install KB3033929 with out installing any other updates? Or what is required to install the security update KB3033929? Thanks

Hi John,
the way in which Windows 7 and 8.1 receive updates has changed.

Microsoft is no longer sending them down the usual Windows Update route unless it's a critical security update.

To access updates for Windows 7 you need to access the Microsoft Update Catalog and do a search for the update required.

If you want to find all of the updates for Windows 7 then read this thread which will advise you on what to search for (all the updates have been rolled in one or two huge updates)

Good find, perhaps Microsoft is changing it's policy re updates and Windows 7/8. I did a little checking and it appears so:
