To have your application launch on the second monitor by default in a Windows 7 environment, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Set the Display

  1. Connect the Second Monitor:

    []Set Screen Position:
    • Drag and drop the display icons in the window to represent the physical arrangement of your monitors. Ensure that the secondary monitor is set to the right or left of the primary one as per your physical setup.
    [
    ]Select Screen Order:
    • Click on the secondary display ("2") and check the box "Make this my main display" if you want the secondary monitor to be the primary one.
    []Apply Changes:
    • Click "Apply" to save the changes. Your secondary monitor will become the primary display with the application launching on it by default.

      Method 2: Adjust Program Launch

    [
    ]Position Application Window:
    • Open your application and manually drag the window to the second monitor. Close and relaunch the application. Windows usually remember the position for next launches.
    []Script the Application Launch:
    • You can create a batch script to launch the application on the second monitor. The script includes commands to position the window on the desired monitor.
    [
    ]Third-Party Tools:
    • Consider using third-party window management tools that offer advanced window positioning features. These tools can help automate window placement on specific monitors. By setting the second monitor as the primary display or manually positioning the application window on the second monitor before closing, you can ensure that your application opens on the secondary screen by default when launched.
