I legally purchased my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit from Newegg.com and installed it about two or three months ago. At the time it has passed the Genuine Advantage and validated that it was Genuine at the completion of installation. Just two days ago I got a dialog box that has the message "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" and could not continue doing updates. I also have a simular message on bottom right corner of computer monitor.
I can't understand what has gone wrong. NEVER has my Windows 7 software or installation code been shared with anyone else. The CD has never left my home. I live alone so I know that it could not have been compromised there.
How do I get out of this dilemma? How could I've gotten into it?
