Windows 7 Multiple bsods and further problems

Hello
This is my second post regarding this problem(first one: http://windows7forums.com/blue-scre...-after-around-4-years-flawless-operation.html) I have done everything mentioned in the first post and I keep receiving bsods, not as often anymore around 1 per every 2-3 weeks, when watching youtube videos on opera, the last bsod popped up the instance the video ended.

Unfortunately this morning as I booted up my pc I heard a strange noise before windows 7 started and the computer restarted taking me into a repair tools window and informed of a windows failed launch, the auto repair didn't work bbut i managed to restore the system to a few months back.

P.S. I've ran the memtest86+-4.20 for 15 passes(overnight) and recieved no errors.
Here are all of the files from W7F, CPU-Z and RAMMon. The attachment system wont let me upload so here is an alternative:
PCdiag.zip

Let's start this one out fresh (as it's been a month or two since the last memory dumps were captured).
Also, let's see if this will give us any other info:
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Your BIOS dates from 2008. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Description:
The platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous system power transition. Please check for updated firmware for your system.

If the mobo is no longer supported with BIOS updates, then it may be a BIOS problem that is unfixed. I'd contact Gigabyte about this to see if there is a known problem in this area.

Only 665 mB of RAM free. Low memory can cause errors, please upgrade your RAM (see the Gateway website or RAM Memory Upgrade: Dell, Mac, Apple, HP, Compaq. USB drives, SSD at Crucial.com to see what memory you can upgrade to). While waiting to upgrade your RAM, please trim back the startup items so that all non-essential items don't run at startup. Also ensure that you only use one program at a time.

Only 120 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all). I don't recall if this was addressed in the previous posts - if it was, you can skip it.

Some of your Kaspersky drivers date from 2009 - I'd suggest updating your Kaspersky product to the latest version (issues with these drivers can also cause errors that blame the network adapter).

Lot's of issues with your nVidia software in the System event log. Please:
- un-install the nVidia software/drivers
- download a fresh copy of the latest drivers from http://www.nvidia.com
- install the freshly downloaded software/drivers
- monitor for further issues.

You have a Atheros AR5007UG Wireless USB Network Adapter:
I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win7/Win8 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7(and I suspect with Win8) - using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7/Win8 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.
I would strongly suggest removing this device and it's software in order to see if they are the cause.

The last memory dump blames the wireless USB network adapter's drivers also, so that increases the likelyhood of the problems I discussed above. Since the driver dates from 2007, it's likely that this is a Vista driver (as mentioned above). You can try to fix it by un-installing the Vista drivers and installing the latest, Win7 compatible drivers for the device if you'd like - but there's no guarantee that it'll fix the problem.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Ok so I reinstalled the nvidia drivers after completely removing them, also I don't think my bios is to blame as it never failed me during the past 4 yers and the current one installed was an update to the old one that was running fine(2008 was the most recent update), my ram has also been working fine and I'm able to run many applications at once without much delay. Besides the memtest86+ confirmed it's working order, as for the Windows updates I never skipped any recommended ones and the only left out was the network adapter update.

Kaspersky was bought a year ago and I regularly update it, unfortunetly I cannot download the 2013 version as the license key is meant for the current one I own(2012).
I've checked the links and intel doesn't offer any updates for my processor, I use the network adapter daily and therefore cannot disable it, I've downloaded the update you mentioned a few times and I got the feeling that my internet connection was slower after the update - I might be wrong on this. I experienced bsods before and after the update.

So my ram, network adapter and Kaspersky have been working fine in the past, one thing I've noticed is that I'm getting bsods when watching videos, not only from youtube, I also recall one time I played hitman and a bsod popped up, that was the only time because i can play it without any problems now, I've read that other people experience bsods due to their computer going to sleep so I have turned this function off as I often have my computer go to sleep.

Here is the additional information you requested:
Admin.evtx

Thank you for looking at this problem again.

Just because the system/components haven't failed you in 4 years doesn't mean it's not going to fail now. If you did this with your car - you'd be walking now! :0) Seriously tho', sometimes a Windows Update will impact an older driver that wasn't designed properly - and that will cause issues. Also different problems can be caused by different programs impacting the same subsystem (such as watching online videos impacts the video drivers, the browser/player that you use to play them, the Kaspersky, the network adapter, and the operating system itself).

The BIOS can still be to blame. Since they're not updating the BIOS the only way to check it is to replace the mobo. I wouldn't go to that extent just yet, but it is a possibility. we'll reach this point once we fix/rule out all the other stuff that we've seen (and maybe running a few more tests).

In most cases with Kaspersky, you just download and install the newer version - and your license will carry over.
Also, at work we will install the newer version and type in the key to the older version - and it's accepted by the Kaspersky servers. As long as you still have the disk for the old version (or can download it) - there's no real risk to this other than the time spent experimenting.

I understand the difficulties of not using the network adapter - but it's essential to test this (especially with the 2007 driver).
Can you:
- use a long wire to the router from your computer (with wired internet you can use wires up to 100 meters long)?
- temporarily move the computer closer to the router and use a shorter wire?
- use a wireless card that plugs into your motherboard (PCI or PCIe)? If you don't have one, can you purchase one from a shop that accepts returns (so you can get your money back)?

Good luck!

Ok I've upgraded my Kaspersky, it turned out very easy, I don't know why I had problems the other time, I don't know yet how I can stop using the network adapter but I'll keep this in mind. The BSOD cause is hard to detect as they are quite random and happen rarely, for instance I could be watching or buffering a video, get a bsod, restart the pc and watch that same video in the same circumstances as before without any interruption. For now I have to keep using this computer due to financial complications and because the next computer I plan on buying will be expensive - better to buy high end than replace every year.

I've come up with buying a cheap new network adapter to see if helps, my computer froze twice instead of a bsod.

The computer only froze (instead of BSODing) after you installed the new network adapter?
Is it wired or wireless? Is it USB or PCI/PCIe (fits in a slot on the motherboard)?

No I ordered it online, it will take some time to arrive as it's from China - I was looking for a low priced one, I updated the driver of the network adapter I currently owned but it slowed my connection down so much that youtube was buffering every 5s so I restored the old driver. I also changed from opera to firefox.

Ok, it's been a while I've had exams and installed a PCI card into my computer, I haven't experienced a BSOD yet but my computer has froze with the BSOD sound, I waited about 7s and it just resumed as if nothing happened. I've experienced this even before getting the PCI card, the comp freezes completely and resumes after a few seconds, usually with no sound.
Thanks for your help, I'm glad there is no more BSODs and hopefully the freezing wont happen too often. P.S. Opera was not the problem as the PC froze while using Firefox as well. Thanks again!

Post back with another set of reports (even though you're not having BSOD's)
Also, Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Several problems in the admin.evtx file:

- lot's of DNS issues. Try the Google public DNS server to see if it helps:
https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/
https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using
If you still experience DNS issues, then you have to suspect your system (rather than problems with your DNS server). This can be anything from the cable coming into your house, your router/modem. the cables/wireless signal from the router/modem to your system, or the network devices on the system. I also suggest using a long wire in order (or temporarily moving your system closer to the router/modem) to test and see if the wireless device is causing your problems

- nVidia display drivers stopped responding (likely a STOP 0x117 or similar error)
Update your video drivers. Try the troubleshooting steps here: Video TDR Timeout - 0x116 + 0x117 - Sysnative Forums
If none of these fix the problem, then the next step here is to try another video card to see if that fixes it.

- "The platform firmware has corrupted memory across the previous system power transition."
Several of these errors are seen. We discussed updating your BIOS previously. Since there's a beta BIOS listed from 2009, it's likely that there was a problem with the BIOS - yet the company decided not to go with a full fledged release. As there's only a couple of Win7 drivers listed, I have to wonder if they are not fully committed to supporting Win7 on this board.
From a previous post:

It looks (to me) like we may have reached this point.

I changed the dns settings and checked for updates for my video driver but there are none yet so maybe it is the motherboard. At least there are no BSODs anymore. Thank you very much for your time!
