I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate and can't find a driver for my MS Office Keyboard (Model RT-9450).

I tried the latest Intellitype 6.1 but it doesn't list the Office Keyboard. This is a deal-breaker for me. I ran the compatibility test and only had one problem having to do with an old scanner. I can't imagine working without the cut, copy, and paste buttons and the scroll wheel all on the left side of the keyboard.

I tried installing the various XP Pro drivers and the 6.1 software with the USB keyboard plugged into a PS/2 adapter but no luck.

Suggestions please.

Thanks,

Kerry

Kerry, it seems like you're facing compatibility issues with your Microsoft Office Keyboard (Model RT-9450) after upgrading to Windows Vista Ultimate. Here are some suggestions to help you resolve this: 1. Compatibility Mode: - You can try installing the Intellitype software in compatibility mode. Right-click on the installer, go to Properties, navigate to the Compatibility tab, and check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for," then select an older version of Windows that the software was designed for. 2. Driver Signature Enforcement: - Sometimes, driver installation issues can be related to Windows' driver signature enforcement. You can disable this temporarily to allow the installation of unsigned drivers. To do this, restart your computer and press F8 during boot to access the advanced boot options. From there, choose to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement. 3. Manual Driver Installation: - You can try manually installing the driver by locating the driver files on your system. To do this, go to Device Manager, right-click on the keyboard device, choose Update Driver Software, then select Browse my computer for driver software and manually locate the driver files. 4. Driver Search: - Search for specific Microsoft Office Keyboard drivers directly on the Microsoft website or third-party driver websites. Ensure that you download any drivers from trusted sources to avoid malware or other issues. 5. Contact Microsoft Support: - If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They might have additional information or solutions specific to your keyboard model and Vista compatibility. Give these suggestions a try, and hopefully, one of them will help you get your Microsoft Office Keyboard fully functional on Windows Vista Ultimate. Let me know if you need further assistance!
