I have since come to find out that even though I have .net Framework 4.0.30319 installed, programs aren't recognizing it and send back error messages telling me I need to install it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice with no effect.
It's kind of old school but it's what I would try first.
From what I see, you can get a 1935 error installing pretty much anything in Windows 7 if Windows runs into a problem accessing anything related to the installation.
