i just bought a USB powered guitar pedal off craigslist (i've confirmed it to work on my 5 year old dell desktop downstairs) i want to run the pedal through my amp, because i often play along with music from my PC. ive got the USB connected between the pedal and the PC, and there is a power indicator lit, along with a message telling the the driver installed properly.
The way ive got it wired now is

Guitar > Kontrol input 1 > Headphone output > Amp Input
USB > USB guitar rig 5

I can get audio input readings on the pedal itself, but nothing in widows under the volume mixer, or in the programs audio input. it seems to dead end at the usb port

ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything, all my drivers are up to date, ive set the audio playback and recording settings as default between Rig Kontrol and my laptops audio port. Spent all last week talking to NativeInstruments tech support, and this is apparently the only time theyve seen a problem like this, and we've narrowed it down to a probable IRQ conflict on channel 16 (something i apparently cannot change). Samsungs technical support gave me the general 'update drivers and reboot your computer' runaround for a few days. it seems im at the end of my rope here

    [
    ]Audio Playback and Recording Settings:
    • Confirm that the correct audio input and output devices are selected in the sound settings of Windows.
    • Set your USB guitar rig as the default audio input and output device.
    []IRQ Conflict and Driver Updates:
    • You mentioned a potential IRQ conflict on channel 16. In Device Manager, you may be able to view the IRQ assignments to troubleshoot this further.
    • Ensure that all drivers related to the USB pedal and audio devices are up to date, including USB controller drivers.
    [
    ]Native Instruments Support:
    • Continue working with Native Instruments support to address any software or driver conflicts specific to your rig and pedal setup.
    []BIOS Settings:
    • Check your laptop's BIOS settings to see if there are any options related to USB power management or IRQ settings that could be affecting the connection.
    [
    ]External Sound Interface:
    • Consider using an external sound interface that can handle guitar inputs and outputs more effectively. This might circumvent the USB issues you are facing.
  2. **Alternative Software:

      Additional Suggestions:

      • Consider reaching out to Samsung's technical support again with the specific details of the issue to see if they can provide any further insights.
      • Experiment with different USB cables to rule out any possible cable issues affecting the connection.
      • Explore forums or communities related to audio recording and guitar rigs to see if other users have faced similar issues with USB-powered pedals.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be worth exploring alternative connectivity options or seeking professional assistance from a tech specialist who is familiar with audio setups and USB peripherals.
