I recently upgraded my computer from windows 7 to 10, and now my s230hl monitor (only has a DVI port) shows no input at all, including during boot up. It doesnt matter if I have my other monitor (HDMI, works just fine) connected, or if its only the DVI monitor. All my drivers are up to date, and I've checked all the cables. The monitor was working fine earlier today, the issue started after upgrading to windows 10. I haven't activated my windows 10 yet, but from what I can find online that shouldn't have anything to do with DVI display. I've tried disconnecting the monitor via device manager, reinstalling the drivers, and restarting my computer multiple times. The computer does recognize the DVI monitor in device manager and the display settings, it's just completely black.

It seems like you might be facing a compatibility issue with your DVI monitor on Windows 10. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot the problem: 1. DVI Signal Input: Make sure the correct input source is selected on your monitor. Some monitors have a button or menu option to switch between input sources. 2. Monitor Resolution: Windows 10 may be setting a display resolution that is incompatible with your DVI monitor. Try changing the resolution settings for the monitor: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings." - Scroll down and select "Advanced display settings." - Try adjusting the resolution for your DVI monitor. 3. Graphics Driver: Ensure that the graphics driver is up-to-date. You can download...

Compatibility Mode: Try running Windows in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Right-click on the program executable, go to the "Compatibility" tab, and set compatibility mode to Windows 7. 5. Monitor Hardware: Test your DVI monitor with another computer to ensure the issue is not related to the monitor itself. 6. Safe Mode: Boot into Safe Mode to determine if the issue appears there as well. If it doesn't, it could be a software issue conflicting with the DVI monitor. 7. Windows Hardware Troubleshooter: Use the built-in Windows Hardware Troubleshooter to identify and fix hardware issues. If all else fails, you may need to consider reaching out to your monitor manufacturer for further support or consulting a technician for troubleshooting the compatibility issue with your Windows 10 setup.
