Hi,

I installed the RC version build 7100 on a Macbook pro with bootcamp.

Everything works fine but I can't make the sound work.

The system says it should work, that the driver is correctly installed but nothing comes from the speakers !

I tried to install the latest drivers (realtek vista) but it doesn't work.

Is there someone who can help me ?

It isn't a new macbook pro, mine is three years old, maybe it can help.

Thank you very much in advance !

PS: Sorry if my english is bad, but it's not my mother language.

      • Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark, which indicates driver issues.

    ]Reinstall Audio Drivers:
    • Since you mentioned that you tried installing the latest Realtek Vista drivers, it's worth trying again. Make sure to download the drivers compatible with Windows 7.
      • Uninstall the current audio driver, restart your laptop, and then install the downloaded driver.
    []Apple Bootcamp Support Software:
    • Ensure that you have the latest Apple Bootcamp Support Software installed. This software includes drivers for Windows on Mac hardware.
      • You can download it from the official Apple support website.
    [
    ]Check Sound Card Compatibility:
    • Verify that the sound card in your three-year-old Macbook Pro is compatible with Windows 7. Check if there are any specific requirements or known issues related to sound drivers on older Macbook models.
    []System Compatibility Check:
    • Make sure your Macbook Pro model is officially supported for Windows 7 using Bootcamp. Compatibility issues could lead to driver conflicts.
    [
    ]Windows Update:
    • Ensure that Windows 7 is up to date by running Windows Update. Sometimes, Windows Update might offer driver updates that can resolve compatibility issues.
    []Hardware Check:
    • Test your speakers with another device to confirm that they are working. This will help identify if the issue lies with the speakers or the Windows installation.

    ]Community and Forums:
    • Seek assistance from the Windows community forums or Apple support forums. Users who have faced similar issues might have valuable insights or solutions. By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and hopefully resolve the sound issue on your Windows 7 installation via Bootcamp on your Macbook Pro.
