steam crashes everytime i stop playing counter-strike or sometimes when i add a server to favorites all close all current windows opened from steam :/

Quake 3

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
Originally Quake III wouldn't even install. I found out that you can just copy all of the files over to my hard drive and install from there.
did a test demo and got 867 fps !!!
